Dragon's Prophet Dark Steel Armor by Nebulaluben Dragon's Prophet Dark Steel Armor by Nebulaluben
Phew! Now that Gamescom is over, I am able to share with you all the cool Dragon's Prophet (www.dragonspropheteurope.com/e… cosplay pictures we took months ago. Now Infernum Productions lets me share with you my favourite and the most beautiful ones.
So get ready for a lot of awesome pictures by Jesús Clares (facebook.com/jesusclares)

I had a blast at Gamescom. It was just so overwhleming!! Working as an official cosplayer in a booth was a great but painful and exhausting experience. My costume was more damaged each day due to the high activity and people just passing by and touching it. I was lucky to meet amazing cosplayers and I'm very grateful some people came to say hello and chat a little.
We took a bunch of pictures and they also recorded us for a beautiful cosplay video (I'll post a journal when they upload it to youtube. Can't wait!!).

How we made this costume:

that is amazing!  do you work at a studio, or is it just a hobby that pays for its self?

We are from Spain. I don't really know how things are abroad regarding to freelance working but here it's almost impossible. Taxes and conditions are a big impediment to start frunning a buisness from below (and they become worse every day). We also think there is not a big market here to start selling our stuff. I don't know. Plus, we are hobbyists, we don't have any tangible qualifications. It's just we can't find the right moment to quit our regular jobs and start trying to make costumes and props for a living and, as you may know, economy in Spain is such a mess right now :( It's really difficult. Maybe I'm very pessimistic, but that's how I see it.

sad to hear that.  your work is excellent.  The economy is not strong any where.  But, those who wait for a strong economy are not ready when it comes back.  Perhaps, staying with a smaller approach with a lofty goal in sight would be the best course.  I have a friend who ran his business part time, while working a full time job for 6 years before ever quiting his full time job to finally work on his passion of growing his business.  Do you ever ship out of spain?  There are things that come up every now and again, that your skills would be useful for.

That's encouraging! Erik started making props for friends and little things like that a couple months ago. Of course, waiting for the economy to be stronger is not the solution. Hope we are able to make bigger things little by little. Thank you ^^
